Blue Marble Evaluation is a network of principles-driven evaluators for the Anthropocene, founded by Michael Quinn Patton and with Glenn Page of SustainaMetrix as a key partner. Blue Marble’s principles constitute a breathtakingly bold reinvention of the idea of evaluating important endeavors. Traditional evaluation is programmatic, prescriptive, and formulaic. Blue Marble Evaluation recognizes that in the Anthropocene, we need principles to inspire and guide us, not a rulebook to hold us down.
